"At the opening of the play, the audience was mesmerised by the vocals of theatre first-timer Rozita Rohaizad, daughter of legendary actress Mariani, when she sang the syair. Even though, she did not appear on stage, it was apparent that the individual behind the sultry vocals was her, as it closely resembled that of her popular aunt, the late Saloma "
The above is an extraction from New Straits Times 03/07/2008
Rozita Rohaizad travelled extensively as a singer early in her career and has acted in 3 movies - Serampang Tiga, Dendam dari Pusara and Setinggan. In Setinggan she also sang the movie's hit song which won the award for best movie song in 1983. In 2008 Rozita thrilled her ardent fans when she came back on the scene with her third and very latest offering "Kekal Abadi". Self produced "Kekal Abadi" has 8 new pop rock songs delivered as always in her distinctive sensual, husky but yet sweet voice.
Rozita further marked 2008 as an unforgettable year when she sang with Jim Brickman in November at the Kuala lumpur Tower. It was indeed a magical evening when they both engaged in a duet of "The Simple Things" - the song Jim Brickman selected for her to deliver that night.
Rozita Rohaizad - So simple yet elegant. Hear her voice and be charmed by the beauty and simplicity of her persona.
Wonderful voice and personality Rozita has.I admire her and her personality in many ways.
